Why the BMW MOTION map update makes sense

Even older BMW models deserve up-to-date map data. Outdated maps lead to incorrect turn instructions, missing roads, and unnecessary detours – especially on long trips through Europe. With the BMW Navi Update MOTION 2024, you will once again have all the latest roads, new traffic routing, and current points of interest directly in your vehicle – without a smartphone, without an internet connection.

The FSC activation code is vehicle-specific and valid for life. This means: buy it once, use it permanently – even for future MOTION updates until 2099.

Which update fits my BMW?

Check your current navigation version directly in the vehicle. If WAY, EVO, LIVE, JOY, West, Next, MOTION, MOVE, PREMIUM, or USB is displayed there, the corresponding update is the right one. If your vehicle shows EVO – then only EVO is compatible. Every BMW navigation system is permanently assigned; other versions are not compatible.

We offer BMW navigation updates for all vehicles. Simply contact us with your VIN directly via WhatsApp – we will help you find the right update for your vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions – BMW MOTION Map Update 2024

How do I find out if my BMW has the MOTION system?
In the vehicle, go to: Navigation → Settings → Version Information. If it says "MOTION" or "CIC MID", this update is compatible. If in doubt, simply send us your VIN – we will check for free.

What is the difference between MOTION and MOVE?
MOTION and MOVE are two different BMW navigation systems for different vehicle models and production years. They are not compatible with each other. Every vehicle has exactly one permanently assigned system.

How long does the installation take?
Depending on the volume of data, the installation takes between 30 and 60 minutes. The ignition must be switched on – the vehicle does not need to be running.

Is the FSC code also valid for future updates?
Yes – the FSC activation code is valid for life (until 2099) and can be used for all future MOTION map updates.

How quickly will I receive the download link?
After receipt of payment and VIN verification, you will generally receive the download link and FSC code via email within a few hours.

Does the update work with a Mac?
No. A Windows PC is required exclusively for preparing the USB stick. macOS and Linux are not supported.
